Beuteltiere’s birthday

April 21, 2010

On Saturday we celebrated our tiny little shop’s first birthday. It was a great party! Thank you to all the guests, clients and friends for coming by and celebrating with us! And a special thank you to our neighbours Sabine and Janet from Pomeranza Design Ranch who gave a fantastic birthday cake to us!

Psst… Can you see the latest tiny little Beuteltier in the Beutel?!

Another big redecoration day at Beuteltiere

November 12, 2009

Our feet are aching now after hours and hours of redecoration for Christmas and our new theme “La vie en Rose”. This has really been a hard day for the two of us. That’s why there are only a few pics today. Further information will follow, be sure.

Our New Theme is Starting on Saturday

November 11, 2009

Dear Beuteltiere friends and confederates,
Christmas isn’t far!

Time to relax and hide away to enjoy the nice ways of life.
“La vie en rose”
All of you are cordially invited to target our presented artists Sina Möhring – illustrator, Nadja Naber and Daniela Dietel both jewellery desiners in our Shop (Raumerstrasse 19, 10437 Berlin) Saturday, November 14th 2009 at 5 pm.

Delicate, fragile and charming playful – This could be the subline for our new theme. We will complete the Vernissage sensuously with sparkling wine from Katrin?s home area as usually.

Finally allowed to do the Diva!
Look forward to see you, the Beuteltiere Katrin and Barbara

Private Plates. Second Edition

August 28, 2009

Yesterday was a big day for Beuteltiere: the second edition of Private Plates (see first edition here). We invited again some guests to come to our shop to better get to know them and to connect the guests with each other during a nice dinner cooked by Katrin. This time there were eight people who work in different fields.

Here a quick introduction:

Jenny Brosinski, illustrator and artist

Michael Bartos, developper for online-shops

Hans Enz, owner of a wine shop called Weinwinkel in Dunckerstraße

Alexander Bothe, shoe and bag designer

Doro Martin, founding a new publishing company (she is blogging as well and already wrote about Private Plates this morning)

Melanie Rosenthal, lightning architect

I hope everybody enjoyed the evening as much as I did. And thanks Katrin for the great food.

If you want to come on our list to take part in one of the following Private Plates dinner, please write a comment! There participants will be chosen by the lot.

Berlin meets Brussels – new theme

May 27, 2009

Just opened and already a new exhibition!

All of you are cordially invited to target our presented artists Christina Vantzou, Brussles, und Tim Adler, Berlin, in our Shop (Raumerstrasse 19, 10437 Berlin) Saturday, May 30th 2009 at 6 pm.
This time the Beuteltiere are entering unfamiliar terrain: Two cities are explored and set in place by the two resident artists.

Suspenseful, special and spectacular – we will complete the Vernissage sensuously with sparkling wine from Katrin’s home area.

Off for doing the make-up and enormously excited,
the Beuteltiere Katrin and Barbara

Professional Beuteltiere Photos

April 23, 2009

Two days ago my dear roommate Tim, who is a photographer, made some pictures of our shop. He came with some very heavy equipment (a big fat camera and a big flash light) and shot some photos of the shop, our bags and ourselves. Today I saw them the first time and want to show at least some of them to you, too.

Thanks to Tim we have some very nice photos to present Beuteltiere accordingly. This might be useful very soon. Stay tuned ;-)

Thank you my dear Tim and happy birthday!

We should move in today, but…

March 2, 2009

… our shop isn’t finished yet unfortunately. All kinds of construction workers are still busy there in finishing electricity installation, plastering and painting walls and laying the floor. Honestly: The shop (photo made end of last week) doesn’t look like we are moving in soon :-( . Big chaos!

But Katrin even served the workers  some homemade muffins to keep them motivated to finish our shop within two weeks. And they promised that we can move in March 15th. Let’s see … hopefully they will manage. If not, we will be very stressed to prepare everything for the big opening on April 4th.
