Im Salon.

March 10, 2010

I already wrote last Friday that I will go to Im Salon organized by Frau Dietel in her tiny jewelery atelier in Berlin Friedenau. But I still owe you a report of the event.

The start of the event was quite funny, because Daniela’s toilet was blocked and there were two plumbers working on that while outside the toilet there were 10-15 people drinking rosé Prosecco and getting to know each other. Besides the penetrating smell we survived the situation quite well. About two hours late the event could finally start and we all sat down to listen to a lecture of Britta Glasser and Matthias Benz about their trip to Uzbekistan and Tadzhikistan. Wow these two countries looked so great! I saw really impressive pictures and now I am being catched by the travel bug! But unfortunately at the moment I can’t…

La Vie en Rose Artist – Daniela Dietel

November 17, 2009

One of our artists, we are proud to present during our theme “La vie en rose” is Daniela Dietel. Under her label she creates very graphic looking, emotional touching jewellery which she herself describes as: intuitively, inspirational, graphically, emotionally, intoxicating and beautiful. She made an apprenticeship in Munich as goldsmith, works as an artist and graduated as designer for jewelry and object in Pforzheim. The material she uses for her work are all fair trade read more about that topic on her website, because she is much better in describing this then I am. I leave you with a few pictures and enjoy the beauty of her creations:

My new self-made necklace

August 24, 2009

Last week I completed my new necklace, yeah! How it came that I made a new necklace? Well, I was at the Tendence in Frankfurt beginning of July with my friend Nadja. Nadja is a goldsmith and we went together to the gemstone retailer stand and I couldn’t resist to by some tiny little faceted stones (garnet, aquamarine and cairngorm). After three threads of stones I could diciplinate myself and stop me from buying more which was really hard.

Now the necklace is done: I invented a necklace where I can add some more threads of gemstones if I want or if I won’t be able to resist to buy one time. And Katrin helped me to realize it with her professional goldsmith know-how. Thanks Katrin! Have a look at some pics of me and my necklace.
