Between our two shop windows there was some space, white, grey… boring. The emphasis here is on WAS!!! I decided to design and sew some kind of banner or flag which we could attach to the wall in a simple manner.
After sketching a few proportional models I cut out the patterns for our Beuteltiere logo in different sizes and sewed a Beuteltiere sign from an old IKEA fabric leftover.
It was such fun putting the little pouches from our logo in place. Hard to decide where to attach them on the sandy-brown base-cloth. Arrrgghhhh, what a bad idea to use fake-leather. I haven’t sewed it before and my machine didn’t like it really. Would have been in a fix without my great sewing book from Burda, where I read to use thin silk paper to make the transport work better. So on second attempt all went fine
And thanks to our great craftsmen who are still around working in our house the banner was attached in less then half an hour. Professional banner care for us. I think they earned free coffee their whole life long. See all the pics here.
