The long way is over: The Bs are done. It was quite a time-taking job. Sisyphus would be proud…Anyway. They are waiting to be decorated tonight. See them next week, when we will post some pics of the great vernissage as well of course. For those who can´t participate. Lots of love for all of you out there. Take care!
Trara… Thursday! It’s time for another passion: I love to see my flat-mate’s chili plants grow. He’s quite passionate about chili, ok better he’s addicted to chili, that’s why he is growing chili plants on the balcony of our flat. I love to sit on the balcony and watch them growing.
Tim is on holiday at the moment that’s why I have the honorable duty to care about his chili plants. Oh my god I’m nervous. And you know what… one died already and a second one didn’t look so good this morning, although I did follow his chilli care instructions. I think my thumb is not the greenest on earth .
Thanks god he’s coming back on Sunday. I don’t want to risk more dying plants! I don’t want to risk a bad crop in Autumn and a Winter without delicious homemade chili sauces.
All of you are cordially invited to target our presented artists Christina Vantzou, Brussles, und Tim Adler, Berlin, in our Shop (Raumerstrasse 19, 10437 Berlin) Saturday, May 30th 2009 at 6 pm.
This time the Beuteltiere are entering unfamiliar terrain: Two cities are explored and set in place by the two resident artists.
Suspenseful, special and spectacular – we will complete the Vernissage sensuously with sparkling wine from Katrin’s home area.
Off for doing the make-up and enormously excited,
the Beuteltiere Katrin and Barbara

We are totally overwhelmed by all the yellow in the city and can’t stop to take photos of all the yellow in the city. That’s why we countinue our chasing the yellow series and present you another series of yellow pics. (see the whole album with all the yellow pics that we took these days here)
Since our blog post two days ago about yellow we got into a real euphoria about yellow! We chase after our clients and people passing by the shop with the camera: “Barbara come, come quickly with the camera! There’s a women with a yellow leggings!” We jumped out of the shop and got her! Yeah! And things like this happen all the time. We are really attentive to yellow: we start to see yellow everywhere: We ask yellow dressed people on the street for a photo and get of the bike for yellow photos. So we are really passionate about yellow and it’s lot of fun.
Another Thursday. Another passion. As you heard from Barbara last week, she loves to make lists and strike through the point she finished. It makes her feel satisfied. Well. Me as a lazy bone I love: hazelnut cream.
For me breakfast without it is an absolute no-go. I experienced that few guys like it more salty and rustic in the morning including “Wurst” and Cheese, even some olives are good for some people, pffff. Not me. I like it sweet and cosy in early hours. A good, fresh cup of tea with an idea of milk in companion with a bread rolls’ soft bottom side topped with a lot (and I mean it) hazelnut cream, mmmhh yummy! What’s your mornings darling? Do you have any specials you like to share?
Pantone recently named yellow “The colour of the summer”! See here a few impressions of yellow in our shop.
“Look for this cobalt-like shade in many patterns and prints for spring. Warm, cheerful Freesia [yellow], like an uplifting ray of sunshine, is a friendly, inviting color to which people are instinctively drawn. It is also a color that allows for diverse accessorizing opportunities in jewelry and shoes.” (Pantone Fashion Colour report spring 2008)
“As yellow continues to make its mark on the world of fashion, tangy Super Lemon [yello] brings a fun, optimistic outlook to the palette. Its luminosity is determined to evoke a smile and attract the roving consumer’s eyes.” (Pantone Fashion Colour report spring 2009)
Stay curious about other stories about yellow comming soon.
Most of you know that Barbara and me moved to Berlin to start our business here. It wasn´t hard to do that, no not really. For me the love of my life waited for me here, for Barbara new adventures and friends lured her to come. But sometimes, especially on Sundays, honestly I´m getting a little home-sick. Living next to Frankfurt it was so easy to see my family for Sunday-lunch. Enjoying the great garden of my parents, playing with Emma (the dog of mom&dad), discussing my new creative ideas with mom… and many more reasons to get me longing for home. There is simply no better person to talk about inspirational things, then my mom. She knows me better than I do myself, she isn´t always nice and thoughtful, no, she shows me controversy aspects of my work, and I love her for that. Thank you mom. For the creative gene and you networking talent-Danke Mama! Für deine kreativen Gene und dein Talent Leute zusammenzubringen. Hab Dich lieb!
Mimi Venezia is a jewelery brand coming from Auckland New Zealand that will be soon available at Beuteltiere. We are already waiting for these funny coloured jeweleries made of handmade Italian glass beads. At the moment Beuteltiere is the only store in Europe who sells these products, yeah. Also because of the other store that sold them in Berlin closed its doors.
And how did we get to know this brand? The girl that is doing this brand came along our store found it nice and asked us if we want to sell her products, because she thinks that they would fit nicely in our beautiful store. Don’t you think so?
